Dr. Salman Tarique

Dr. Salman Tarique is a board-certified Vascular Neurologist who cares for patients with stroke, TIA, brain bleeds, and complex cerebrovascular conditions. He is known for his calm, thorough, and solution-focused approach—helping patients feel supported during some of the most stressful moments of their lives.

Dr. Tarique serves as the Medical Director of the Stroke Neurology Program at Texas Health Fort Worth, where he guides hospital teams in providing fast, evidence-based stroke treatment. His work focuses on improving patient outcomes by making stroke care more reliable, efficient, and easier to navigate for patients and their families.

He completed his Neurology residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and a Vascular Neurology fellowship at Michigan State University/Corewell Health. During his training, he developed tools and clinical pathways that helped streamline care, improved communication between teams, and enhanced the accuracy of stroke documentation. These efforts contributed to his former institution earning Comprehensive Stroke Center designation.

Patients and families appreciate his ability to explain complex conditions in a clear, understandable way. He believes in personalized treatment plans, careful follow-up, and empowering patients to take an active role in their recovery and long-term brain health. He values connecting with people and believes that every patient deserves to feel heard, respected, and cared for.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Tarique enjoys following global real estate trends and staying engaged with emerging developments in technology. He has a particular interest in automotive engineering and appreciates hands-on car maintenance. He also loves traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures. During his downtime, he unwinds by watching UFC or relaxing with a favorite Netflix show.
