
Dr. Yamini Chennu, MD, is a highly accomplished neurologist and neurophysiologist with more than two decades of clinical, academic, and diagnostic expertise. She began her medical training at the Tashkent State Medical Institute, completing her medical degree in 1993. Early in her career, she developed a passion for understanding complex neurological disorders, which later guided her toward pursuing specialized neurological training in the United States.
After relocating to Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Chennu completed her internship in 1997 at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). She then pursued her neurology residency at VCU, completing the program in 2000, where she gained extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a wide spectrum of neurological conditions. Her dedication to advanced neurological diagnostics led her to further specialize, completing a fellowship in Neurophysiology at VCU in 2001. During her fellowship, she trained extensively in EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, and intraoperative monitoring, developing expertise that continues to shape her clinical practice today.
Following her fellowship, Dr. Chennu served as an Assistant Professor at the VCU Health System from 2001 to 2003. In this role, she contributed to resident education, supervised clinical training, and participated in academic initiatives aimed at advancing neurological care. She then transitioned into private practice in Richmond, where she served the community until moving to Fort Worth, Texas, in 2008.
Since relocating to Fort Worth, Dr. Chennu has continued to provide exceptional neurological care with a strong emphasis on neurophysiology. She is known for her compassionate approach, attention to detail, and dedication to providing evidence-based treatment. Her clinical interests include neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, headaches, neurodiagnostic testing, and long-term neurological management.
Dr. Chennu earned her Board Certification in Neurology in 2002 through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. With over 20 years of practice, she remains committed to delivering high-quality neurological care and staying current with advancements in the field.
